MoCA Nida – vision of contemporary art museum in Nida
On July 10th–11th the Lewben Art Foundation met with Neringa municipality’s administration, education, culture, youth and sport committees’ members, Minister of Culture Simonas Kairys and his team, Office of the Committee on Culture members Vytautas Kernagis and Kristijonas Bartoševičius, and other representatives of national cultural institutions to discuss the prospects of the local cultural scene and development possibilities.
The Lewben Art Foundation, in collaboration with architect Audrius Ambrasas, a laureate of the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts, have introduced government representatives to the auspicious idea of establishing a multifunctional cultural and educational center in the municipality of Neringa, showcasing contemporary art as well as works produced by Nida Artists’ Colony.
