New artwork in the collection – "Athens House. The Plague IV" by Viola Głowacka
The Lewben Art Foundation has acquired the painting "Athens House. The Plague IV" (2018) by contemporary Polish painter Viola Głowacka (b. 1985 in Biała Podlaska, Poland).
Viola Głowacka received her formal education from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, where she obtained a diploma in painting in 2009. In her works, Viola Głowacka combines tempera technique with watercolour and oil paint to achieve an often muted impression of reality centred around alienated, distant, and frequently tragic characters.
Painter's artworks have been shown in various exhibitions in such institutions as MOCAK, Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow as well as in Cologne at Jan Kaps gallery.
